Summerfest
Well, I just got back from the glamour that is working for Summerfest. Nothing like hauling truss around and pulling multi cable for the stars. I got more work out of it than I did last year, and ended up getting some time on the fourth - hooray for double time. I just happened across an old friends weblog today, and posted a comment. hopefully he'll catch it. I'm looking forward to the All-Star game since C-Lee is in it. I haven't yet seen the home-run derby, I hope he won - I'm going to catch the replay on the duece of the espn.
I missed my train from Kenosha tonight heading back home, and so I had to catch one in Waukeegan, which set me back about an hour and I didn't get to watch the game (although I did get a few chapters of Madame Bovary in, hopefully I'll finish that up tonight. A bunch of high school girls got on the train going to Ravinia for some concert, and I tell you, I don't miss high school. They were screaming back and forth to each other from the moment they got on the train. You'd think that they were all deaf. I don't get it, maybe I'm getting older, but I like a little peace and quiet on my train rides. I almost put in some earplugs that I had from working at Summerfest this past week. (for wearing during sound checks).
Thats all for now

Hey Steve!
It's fantastic to hear from you-so glad that you've been swept up into the blogging community! Actually I have been looking for a blog by you for some time. I hope that you are doing well. I sympathize with your disdain for high schoolers (well, the jerky ones, I'm actually helping out with my church's youth group) but I found two blogs belonging to former high schoolers of ours that I liked. Your mileage may very.
